All kdon clothes are designed with love by myself, aka kdon, aka Kim Cathers. I spend hours dreaming, sketching and looking for the perfect fabrics for my garments. My 2008 spring line looks to be another excellent blend of urban street wear and a swing back to one of my favorite era’s.. the 60’s! Mini dresses, bishop sleeves, apron tops, slim lines and clean cuts are just the start of my inspiration, this is a year you will want to stay tuned as the line is released, so you can be the first to get your hands on an original kdon piece. Thanks for stopping by today, I will keep you posted on the progress, and in the mean time you should pick yourself up a kdon hat before your favorite fabric is sold out. I usually only do small runs of fabric, so everyone that has a kdon hat knows they are only one of a few.

Dear Kim Cathers,
On March 7, 2008, the A.W.A.R.E. Project (Activists Worldwide AIDS/HIV Reproductive Education) will hold Halifaxs 2nd annual exclusive Spring Fashion Show at Halifax’s Westin hotel. The event will raise money for the A.W.A.R.E. Project which directly installs Peer Health Education Programs in developing countries with the long-term goal of lowering new HIV/AIDS contractions, while indirectly unifying and educating youth and beyond about the importance of protection through a photographic advertising campaign. Over th years, the A.W.A.R.E. project has been gaining stamina within the community. This year, we are very pleased to announce our partnership with CityModels Talent/Modeling Agency and all proceeds will be donated to the Nova Scotia GambiaAssociation, which installs peer health education programs inGambia and Sierra Leone with huge success.
The event will showcase local, grassroots designers from all over Canada, giving the Halifax’sfashion-conscious community a chance to preview upcoming trends, as well as the opportunity to at last participate in a professional fashion show. In addition, the event will allow local designers a chance to showcase their lines as well as the chance to advertise and sell their clothing.
What we would like from your store is to provide a collection of 5-8 garments for our models to present during the show. The selection of clothing you would like to showcase is completly up to you, as it is not limited to seasonal fashion but rather showcasing your product and creativity. We would be more than willing to sign contracts to ensure the safety of anything provided.
If you are interested in participating or would like more information, please contact me at (902) 209-6366 or by e-mail sowe can arrange a time to work out details and for our models to be fitted.
Your participation is greatly appreciated and will be recognized during theshow. I look forward to working with you.
Sincerely,
Nada Bakraky
