A friend of mine, Pamela Richardson has organized an excellent conference this weekend called Calliope for girls ages 13- 17. The goal of Calliope is to connect creative girls with women artists and innovators. Pamela has arranged for 10 wonderful visual, fashion, performing and literary artists from around the Lower Mainland who will facilitate a day of workshops and discussions focused on their creative practices, challenges and inspirations.
I am so honored to have been invited to talk at this conference. I will be doing a one hour session Saturday afternoon talking about the ups and downs of being a fashion designer and an entrepreneur. I will show the girls clothes that I have made, and give some simple do-it yourself instructions. I expect it to be a lovely afternoon of creative minds all bouncing off each other and gaining momentum for future projects and passions.

Congratulations Kim,
It’s so cool that you will be inspiring these young minds.
Reminds me of our kids camp. Cool!
